600 EAST WISCONSIN

EXTERIOR RENOVATIONS AND INTERIOR
REMODELING OF AN EXISTING THREE-STORY COMMERCIAL BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN
MILWAUKEE.

Located on the corner of East Wisconsin Avenue and Jackson Street in downtown Milwaukee, the 600 East Wisconsin Building Renovations include removal of post-modern details and elements from a previous renovation. New masonry cladding and custom window trim details appropriate to the character of the existing building were added at the base of the building. A new glazed building entry and canopy were added along the Wisconsin Avenue façade along with custom window box details that were designed to reflect the existing streetscape planters.

The first floor of the building was completely renovated to include a café and business center. Existing claddings
on the exterior walls and steel-framed structure of the building were removed to expose the existing brick and steel finishes. The industrial character of these existing details was complemented with generous use of douglas fir wood trim and a muted paint and interior finish palette.
